It’s been far too long since I updated my blog but I’m back and all fired up. I thought I’d celebrate my return to blogging with a new crop from the uber-talented Craig Johns at the Lobby Hair Shop in the Woodstock Foundry, and the space is my kind of heaven: vintage barber chairs and cabinets, simple and spontaneous jars and vases of flower arrangements, cappuccinos’s while you wait, intriguing wall displays of found objects, and many more lovely design details that are all Craig’s own doing. (Oh, and the haircut was brilliant too!)
Cape Town is amazing this way: so much creativity and individuality and a spirit of collaboration and experimentation. The Woodstock Foundry is brilliantly done and I look forward to spending a lot more time there.
